UCAS

The UCAS experience was all very stressful, I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. I'm sure it was created to put people of going to university. Thankfully its all over with now, fingers crossed. I thought it was all over with before Christmas, but I only missed off the Drawing Qualification.

The uni's I applied for are:
Blackburn
Manchester Met
Salford
UCLAN
Huddersfield
I applied for all local uni's as I really don't want to move to far from my mum. I know thats the opposite to most people but I find the concept far to terrifying.

22.01.13
I've only heard from Huddersfield as far as interviews are concerned, however they've give me an interview for the 13th of Feb whilst we are in London, so I will have to reschedule. I E-mailed them but they didn't reply so I'm going to ring them tomorrow. Rescheduled for the 20th at 1:15

24.01.13
I received an E-mail from Manchester Met. my interview is on the 5th of February at 9:30. It seems so soon! Also got an interview at UCLAN but it clashes with my interview at Huddersfield, so I'm waiting to here back from them.

25.01.13
Received a letter from Blackburn for the 1st. I'm really glad that Blackburn is my first interview. Gives me a bit of practice somewhere I'm familiar with before all my other interviews.

1.01.13
Interview at Blackburn went really well. Steve said I do well in interview, so that has eased me a bit. Now the main thing I'm nervous about being able to find everywhere. I've been on Google maps, so I have an idea. Man met seems fairly complicated to get to but I'm quite familiar with Manchester so I shouldn't be too bad. And, I'm in Manchester the day before so I'm going to have a practice run beforehand. Huddersfield Uni seems pretty straightforward to get to, but I've never been to Huddersfield before, so fingers crossed I won't get too confused.

3.01.13
Got a new date from UCLAN, the 6th of March. which is a nice distance away. Just need to hear from Salford now.

5.02.13
Had my interview at Man Met. Not too keen to be honest. I didn't like the look of the place, and couldn't really see myself fitting in with the other people at the interview. My interview wasn't too great either to be honest. I don't think the woman liked me too much. I thought I did OK though, I explained my work quite well, and I all of the questions confidently, except one. She asked me how the films I like have influence my work. As much as I love Tarantino films I don't think they have had any sort of impact on sky paintings.

20.02.13
Didn't end up attending my Huddersfield interview. It was too expensive to get down, and its last in the list from all my choices, and with conditionals at both Man Met and Blackburn, it didn't seem necessary to go.
