Liverpool

I saw some really interesting things inside the walker gallery. I particularly liked the cupid statues on the lower floor, and hope to incorporate them into my work at some point. I also really like the old fashioned frames on the renaissaance pieces, I may have a look at possibly making a few to add to my paintings.

took note of a few artists that caught my eye, so i can research their work furthur:

Amikam Toren

Angela Lizon

Hu Wenlong

Portrait of a man's face

I absolutely love this piece. I think its amazing how the artist has managed to make an oil painting look just like a photo.

Rainbow Void (Black)

Falling Out

World View (Red through turquoise)

I also love this style of work. I like the rainbow ones best. I could possible mimic this sort of this for backgrounds, and possibly have a go at making one as a stand-alone piece.

Banksy

Banksy is a major influence in contemporary art, and so I feel it would be good try and use some of his work or style in my own work. He is most famous for the fact that he is a graffiti artist, which I could link to my London project.
